Producers listen for a logline: 1 or 2 sentences that explain what a movie is about. If there is no logline, more often than not, there is no sale
Steps to master the “logline”:
Keep it short – should be easy to say and easy to remember
Identify one thing you want your audience to remember – cater to the needs of audience…so they want to know more because it solves a specific problem
Make sure your team is on the same page – loglines attract attention; consistent loglines are memorable & repeatable
